OSS Infrastructure Initiative

Independent research and tooling on open source language and access gaps — making open source usable for people who don't read English, and for people who use assistive technology. Localization is our core focus. Hindi and other Indic locales remain badly underrepresented upstream, and the bottleneck is rarely translation quality — it's operations: finding repos worth localizing, understanding each project's i18n layout, producing valid reviewable locale diffs, and opening pull requests maintainers will actually merge. We build the workflows and tooling that make that repeatable. Alongside it we research accessibility review — scoring real accessibility pull requests against a 12-point rubric to understand why a11y contributions stall upstream, and shipping reusable contribution templates. Findings published in Communications of the ACM and DevOps.com. Everything ships as public repos and reusable artifacts.
